This month we take time to take a look back at Kind + Jugend 2019, which certainly didn’t disappoint anyone who chose to attend and gained momentum once again with more than 1,300 exhibitors (setting this year as a new exhibitor record) and 24,000 visitors from 133 countries. Turn to page 26 of this issue where we bring you a round-up of the show and highlight products that were on display, giving you either a refresh of what you saw or an indication of what you may have missed!
This issue also focusses on a number of product sectors, nursery furniture and décor (page 16), products associated to health and wellbeing (page 40) and weaning (page 46).
From one of our FanFinders mini consumer survey this month we can see that some opted not to purchase a cotbed, with just over 39 percent of those responding stating they did, but for those who made this purchase nearly 95 percent stating they felt it represented good value for money. It is clear from this survey that nursery furniture is well researched prior to purchase, with nearly 85 percent having carried out online research first.
Our contributors this month run us through a variety of topics with John Barker taking us through his experience of K&J, Ross Hewitt is talking stories - Instagram Stories to be precise, Jenny Kieras of Parents Insights run us through the well-being habits of Gen Z parents and David Fairhurst takes a look at the impact of the NoFollow directive introduced by Google in 2005 and what this actually entails.
Our cover stars this month are Maxi-Cosi, who introduce the new Maxi-Cosi Mica, which is incredibly easy to use for parents thanks to its 360° spinning system for quick installation. For ultimate safety, Mica provides rearward-facing travel from birth all the way up to 4 years old.
