Hours of work: Full time – 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday (occasional weekend work when required)

Cheeky Rascals is an exclusive distributor for many well-known brands including mima, Lascal and Potette. Trading for over 20 years and proud of their reputation for providing retailers with the best possible service, they are seeking a new member of the Cheeky Team to help drive the business forward.

Job Goal
Providing excellent service to nursery trade independent retailers, helping them to develop their business with Cheeky Rascals. Building strong customer relationships and driving sales in the designated area.

Essential Skills Required
  • Proven B2B sales track record
  • Computer Literacy, including a minimum of intermediate skills in Excel
  • Excellent face-to-face presentation, telephone manner and written communication skills
  • Organisational, planning and documenting
  • Time management
  • Ability to negotiate and close a sale
  • Works well under pressure
  • Problem solving, strong research and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and listening skills
  • Full Driving licence

Key Responsibilities
  • Account manage a specific territory of around 45 independent retailers
  • Keep all designated customers up to date and ensure new ranges are listed
  • Increase area sales year on year
  • Attend Trade and Consumer shows as and when required
  • Responsible for own cost-effective call plan
  • Visit independent retailers regularly to present new lines, train staff and check merchandising
  • Visit national retailers to train staff and check merchandising
  • Call and email customers to keep them up to date with offers and new launches
  • Advise and plan retailer store displays and ensure products are well represented in store and online
  • Work with Customer Services and Finance departments closely to ensure that orders are dispatched and accounts are financially up to date.
  • Attend Sales Meetings quarterly at the HQ located in Liss, Hampshire (accommodation is provided)
  • Working closely with the retailer and our marketing team to implement individual marketing and social media initiatives
  • Analysing sales figures and providing ideas for driving the business forward
  • New business development; generating leads and researching
Experience Required

  • Nursery industry experience preferred
