The Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President for EMEA, you will take responsibility for the UK Market along with distribution partners in Eire, Scandinavia and the Baltic States.
Initially taking responsibility for all major accounts within the region you will be responsible for defining and creating the necessary sales infrastructure required to develop the business in line with the Company objectives.
You will be charged with developing and implementing overall strategy for the major accounts and agreeing internal budget targets for volume, revenue & profit.
The Role:
Strengthening relationships and building strategic partnerships within the existing account base.
Identifying and securing new accounts from agreed distribution targets.
Responsible for the Region’s sales and profitability.
Defining the sales structure, recruiting and training of sales personnel.
Lead the development of direct reports.
Develop and implement sales strategies, channel & account business plans that increase sales, distribution and promotional activity across the UK.
Manage European distributors across the Region, developing business plans, setting key sales and marketing objectives, achieving distribution targets and managing distribution agreements.
Implementing and managing appropriate trading terms and price structures across the Region in line with Company objectives.
Creating the annual sales and marketing budget in conjunction with the marketing manager
Preparation and management of the Region’s rolling sales forecast
The Candidate:
You will have a proven track-record in the Nursery or related industry and be experienced in managing key UK Retailers and managing a sales team.
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver high level category presentation derived from thorough market research, category and competitor analysis, presentation of a compelling offer backed with an inventive support program
Your personal skills will include tenacity, energy and entrepreneurialism together with a broad commercial understanding of the UK retail environment
An energetic, dynamic communicator with proven influencing skills
You will have high level of drive for success and a true desire to achieve exceptional results.
Adopt a structured, organised approach to business with a keen eye for detail
