With a strong product portfolio, the customer base is growing both in the UK and internationally as retailers respond to the demand from consumers. As the business continues to expand, a position for a senior National Account Manager has arisen and the successful incumbent will report directly to the Sales Director for the UK and Europe. The individual: You will be a dynamic, friendly and commercial sales professional with at least 10 years experience in managing key and national accounts. You will be used to working in a small to medium sized business which operates successfully without a structured environment. You will have good networking skills and be someone that buyers enjoy doing business with. It is essential that you are amenable to helping out in other areas when business necessitates as it’s a small team and everyone is expected to provide their support. Responsibilities for the role: • Responsible for the top tier and secondary accounts ensuring revenues and margins are maintained and grown. • Develop new business with a small number of major retailers (in mostly in nursery, pharmacy and grocer channels). • Create and implement sales strategy in conjunction with the Sales Director. • Sales forecasting. • Full P&L and gross profit responsibility. • Providing support to a KAM. • Providing weekly and monthly sales reports. • Work closely with the marketing department to maximise consumer and trade awareness Working hours: This is a full time position which is home based but it is expected you will be at the office at least two days a month (unless you live near the office - in Herts - and would prefer to be office based). The role: Responsibility for the overall development, expansion and structuring of all export activities to more than 50 countries. Together with your sales teams, the Germany-based international sales managers/administrators, you will be pivotal in maintaining excellent relationships with our existing business partners (distributors, representatives and key accounts). At the same time you will develop new business opportunities and ensure the effective and smooth functioning of our export business. The person in this role will closely observe target markets, analyze trends and develop appropriate sales and marketing activities in collaboration with our foreign distributors. You will manage and oversee all sales activities agreed in each country. You will have significant budget and cost responsibility and report directly to the management board. The Company Launched in 2005 by a group of young mums who felt their current market lacked what they wanted, they set about designing and developing a range of innovative, well designed, practical but affordable products for parents, babies and toddlers. The business took off and consequently the UK operation was established in 2009. The company now distributes to several European countries and in the UK has sold into 200 independent retailers as well as major retailers such as Mothercare, Toys R Us, Amazon and Tesco’s. The growth of the company so far in the UK has been primarily down to the owners who lack specific sales experience and the business is now in a position to bring in a well qualified, experienced sales professional who can help take the company to its next level. The Role You will be tasked with managing existing customer relationships with Toys R Us, Mothercare, Tesco, Amazon and 200 independent retailers including Fenwicks stores. You must be experienced with sales forecasting however P&L will be provided for you. This is not an applicable role for a Sales Representative who has no head office negotiation experience. You will be responsible for driving new business through targeting new customers as well as increasing listings with existing accounts. • The role is home based so you must be a person who can be trusted to work autonomously but also as part of a small team. You will be expected to attend weekly head office meetings in London. • You will be an experienced Key/National Account Manager or a Buyer and you will possess good negotiation skills.
