FunToSee goes to Iran
FunToSee, the room sticker company, appoints an Iranian distribution partner, Arte-Sara, for their range of stylish, removable wall décor products
FunToSee is one of few wall decor brands Arte-Sara wanted to represent, as part of their new import and distribution division. The company undertook 6 months research into the children's wall decor sector before selecting the FunToSee brand in preference to other American and European sticker companies. Based in Tehran, Arte-Sara has a central showroom so customers can view the FunToSee range. They’ve decorated the showroom with FunToSee’s best-sellers - Jungle Safari and Funberry Farm and demostrate the full range on giant plasma screens.
FunToSee Co-Director, Rachel Sellers, says, ‘we weren’t actively looking for a distributor in Iran, but following a very strong proposal from the directors, Somayeh Rokhaireh and Ali Pooladi, a commitment to marketing and a clear recognition of our brand values, we felt Arte-Sara was the right company to introduce FunToSee to a completely new market.’
Arte-Sara Director, Somayeh, says ”The main reason we chose FunToSee over other sticker brands was the uniqueness of the stories they have created in a visual, easy to use ‘kit’ format; their colour schemes, the fact that their products and packaging are such high quality, and manufactured in the UK. All of these are very important to our customers.”
FunToSee Export Manager, Hendrik van der Velde, says: Exporting to Iran means there is a little more bureaucracy with Iranian customs, but the first orders have been delivered and displayed successfully. The initial reaction from consumers and retail at an exhibition of FunToSee products in their showroom has been fantastic.
Arte-Sara will be showcasing FunToSee at two major Design, furniture and interior design exhibitions Medex and Hofex in January 2010.
