Record Sales for Cuddledry
November 2010 was a record sales month for Cuddledry, with retailers stocking up for the Christmas gift rush, and adding new products to their ranges
One of the leading bathtime, swim and beach brands has taken on new multiples including Boots and Debenhams to sell the award-winning Cuddledry apron-style baby bath towel – now something owned by one in every 20 UK babies.
In addition a flurry of new independent retailers are now stocking this nursery ‘must-have’, along with Cuddledry’s top quality toddler bath towels and robes, baby care gift sets, sun/swim products and accessories. “It has been an incredibly exciting last few weeks”, comments Charlotte Campbell, Key Account Manager at Cuddledry, “New sales have been incredibly strong, and reorders from our lovely existing retailers have also really taken off. Cuddledry has had a lot of good press recently, and won more awards - at the Mother and Baby Awards here, and also in South Africa where sales are booming – so I guess that is making people get around to ordering and making sure they don’t miss out”.
Cuddledry also attributes some of its recent success to the Baby Show for Trade, with post-show orders still coming in. “I have to say we are hugely relieved, to be honest,” says Polly Marsh, Director, “In a year when there has been so much doom and gloom and it has been so tough for nursery retail, we truly never expected to have our all time record month. Our marketing activity, the trade shows, and our strong focus on consistent press coverage for all our products has really helped, and we are working as hard as we can to keep up the publicity to support sales for all our retailers.
