Three of kiddy’s top of the range car seats, have recently been certified for use in aircraft by the German Federal Aviation Authority. This includes both group 1, 2, 3 (9 – 36kg or approx. 12 months to 12 years) designs, the kiddy Comfort Pro and the kiddy Guardian Pro. The kiddy Discovery Pro for older children in group 2, 3 (from 15kg – 36kg or approx. 3 to 12 years) has also been approved.
Kiddy car seats are particularly well-suited for travelling by aeroplane since they are so light and easy to install correctly. They may now be used in any aircraft anywhere in the world.
Occasionally seatbelts differ in length, but if the seatbelt is to short, all planes are equipped with an extension so this can be adjusted on site. If the belt is too long, kiddy sells a seatbelt shortener which may be purchased directly. So if you are planning to fly with your kiddy car seat, it is worth purchasing one before you set off.
