BABA ME uses colours, shapes, toys and fittings to highlight the brand’s more child friendly identity. The store also boosts distinctive funfilled images of children at play.

“We opened our first store in Jonesborough in 2006, and it has been successful beyond our dreams, with online sales increasing, we also wanted to offer Irish shoppers a unique experience in our new store.” Says Collins owner of BABA ME. “While we wanted to continue offering our concientiously produced bumGenius nappy brand, we also wanted to offer an environment for shopping that allows mother and baby to take their time and try new things.”

“As the bumGenius product has provided the primary fuel for growth from 2005 through to today our retail shop now has a greater area dedictated to bumGenius” The shop also has an area focuisng on different role play age groups,  helping to educate the early years. This part of the store includes sensory toys and cognitive developmental toys, as resources, not only for mother and baby but also for creche owners, childminders and schools. “The idea behind this” Says Maebh “is that we are pitching ourselves to the wider community that play such an important role in the early years stages of childrens' lives.”

“The ethos behind the new store ensures that alongside a retail enterprise we also  have a mother and baby resource centre too – one of a kind in the country,” continues the MD Maebh. “I want mums to be able to relax when they come into the store and gain any information they may need while pregnant, nursing or indeed just taking time out to shop.”

Their resource centre focuses on a free library for mums to use, with information on breastfeeding and reuseable nappies. With various experts coming in to do demonstrations and talks it provides a lovely opportunity to relax and get some free tips and tricks on natural parenting. With 2 new stores, location yet to be decided, being rolled out across the UK in 2011, BABA ME will offer mum's a chance to avail of this unique shopping experience.

The new store still features the best of their nursery, cots, pushchairs, car seats, babyclothing, maternity wear and toys.
