Baby products are the way forward

Baby related gifts are more popular than ever, and Harrogate Nursery Fair is drawing buyers and attendees from a huge variety of markets

Whatever your market focus, there is little doubt that baby related gifts and products make perfect add on ranges. It won’t only be nursery retailers flocking to Harrogate Nursery Fair at the end of March, but buyers from diverse sectors such as garden centres and visitor attractions to toy shops and gift retailers.

Harrogate Nursery Fair is one of the fastest growing UK trade shows and it’s the consumer penchant to impulsively purchase a cute little teddy, fun bath toy or shiny new drinking cup whilst shopping in a supermarket or DIY store that is attracting so many new sectors to the show. This year visitors certainly won’t be disappointed with what Harrogate’s exhibitors have to offer – with 20 countries attending and many exciting new brands to boot!
Eight halls of the Harrogate International Centre will be packed to bursting with all of the well-known baby brands such as Maxi-Cosi, Jané, iCandy and Silver Cross as well as some interesting new product launches from some first time exhibitors too.

Anyone looking for pre-school toy ranges will be spoilt for choice this year with over 40 toy companies attending covering age groups from birth to five years including Manhattan Toy, Bigjigs, Padgett Bros A to Z, Tomy and Halilit to name just a few. For the first time, Harrogate also welcomes our US counterparts with a North American Pavilion bringing some of the best that the States has to offer – so don’t miss the chance to view these stands in Hall H.

Also, the baby products industry attracts huge amounts of innovation, and this year Harrogate Nursery Fair is hosting the Baby Products Association’s Concept & Innovation Awards. Four finalists have been invited to the show to demonstrate their impressive short-listed entries so don’t miss the chance to see these on the BPA stand in Hall G.

If you are interested in the latest nursery industry market trends, market research company NPD will be giving an eye-opening presentation at 8.45am on Monday 25th March. Andrew Griffiths and Jez Fraser-Hook will share some actual top line findings from full year 2012 data in the UK, including some interesting facts and figures. This is free to attend and open to all.

As always, Harrogate will be offering the hospitality that it’s renowned for with some fabulous networking events during the show. The Party & BANTA Awards night takes place at the Majestic Hotel on Sunday 24th March and a free drinks party will be at the same venue from 10pm onwards on Monday 25th.
