Rattles to Riches with Nursery Today

"Rattles to Riches with Nursery Today" returns to The Baby Show Olympia this October

"Rattles to Riches", the competition which seeks to uncover new products for the nursery sector by supporting up and coming entrepreneurs is back by popular demand; with the final judging taking place and winner being revealed at The Baby Show Olympia this October.

Since its inception in 2010, "Rattles to Riches" has propelled a number of new nursery products into the spotlight and onto the shelves of well-known retailers. This year’s event has gained additional support from the leading nursery trade publication Nursery Today who is delighted to have been chosen as the official trade media partner.

Philippa Le Boutillier, creator of the Spilly Spoon, won the competition in 2011 and recommends it to budding designers and entrepreneurs.

"The Rattles to Riches selection process gave me the opportunity to present my prototype of Spilly Spoon to a panel of major retailers who gave me their thoughts and feedback, which is invaluable when launching a new product. As a winner I have subsequently gone on to manufacture the Spilly Spoon and have secured buyers from the panel. Although pitching my product was nerve wracking, it has proved to be the best thing I ever did"

In previous years the competition has relied solely on a panel of influential industry voices to cast the deciding vote, however this year the rules are changing.

Consumers will also be invited to get involved in the decision making process and could even help influence how the products are further developed. What better way to know what products are going to revolutionise the lives of new parents than by asking them direct!

We look forward to seeing what the entrepreneurs have in store for us all.

Those wishing to enter the competition can do so from April via www.thebabyshow.co.uk

Any enquiries prior to April should be submitted to enquiries@thebabyshow.co.uk, quoting "Rattles to Riches"
