Blue noses shine out at Tatty Puppy’s Hamleys launch

EVERYTHING went pink at the world’s finest toy shop yesterday – although there was definitely a blue nose involved as Carte Blanche held an exclusive party.

Coronation Street’s Marcus Dent – aka actor Charlie Condou – took along his own little girl to Hamleys in London’s Regent Street to meet the adorable Join In And Play Tatty Puppy, joined by Loose Women and ex-EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy, and model Imogen Thomas with their tots.

Every little girl’s dream, the cute, fluffy and very pink puppy barks, wags its tail, loves to play and can also interact with the multi-game app.

The exclusive event was attended by some of the UK’s most influential media including The Sun, Bauer Media, Daily Express, The Telegraph, The Guardian, ITV’s This Morning and Heat Magazine, plus top bloggers.

The party saw 101 Tatty Puppies featuring over four floors of the iconic toy shop, with treasure hunts, face painting, arts and crafts and a special appearance and lots of hugs from a life-size version of the iconic toy, Tatty Teddy himself.

Aimed at girls aged eight and under, interactive Tatty Puppy is set to be a must-have toy this Christmas, along with other fabulous new products in the range including Tatty Teddy’s Dress Up Wardrobe and Outfits, along with the cuddliest Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends soft toys yet.

Tatty Puppy features in the new Blue Nose Friends app, which is available as a free mini-game download and upgradeable to six mini-games for £1.99 – and it’s both child and parent-friendly as there’s no facility for in-app purchasing so no unexpected credit card bills.

Also proving popular with guests, the latest character webisodes were unveiled for the first time before airing on the Bin Weevils website later this week.

Commenting on the event, Catherine Lawrence, Carte Blanche Brand Manager says, “The Hamleys event is just one of a number of marketing events and activities we are running throughout the year to support our Tatty Teddy & My Blue Nose Friends brand. We’ve been delighted by the reaction of press and most importantly their children today, demonstrating just how successful the brand can be this Christmas.”

Carte Blanche is also working with a number of best-in-class licensees to create a truly comprehensive range of toys under the Tatty Teddy & My blue Nose Friends brand, with the latest products including Wise The Owl’s School House, Truffles’ Camera Case and a range of cute glitter figures from Worlds Apart, Felt Craf Kits from Do Crafts, pussles from Ravensburger, stationery and bags from Blueprint, and an annual from Pedigree.
