Aldi’s Mamia baby product range crowned winner

The American Express Best Own-Brand Range or Product Award, won by Aldi’s Mamia

Aldi’s Mamia baby range was this week crowned ‘The American Express Best Own-Brand Range’ at 2019’s Retail Week Awards sponsored by Salesforce at Grosvenor House, London, ahead of thousands of other brands available on the British High Street.

Loved by parents and carers up and down the country, Aldi’s Mamia brand covers ‘everything baby needs’ at a phenomenally competitive price point; from nappies, wipes and bath products, to food and snacks, Aldi aims to deliver premium quality at a fraction of the price of leading branded products.

The multiple award-winning product range will now add the coveted Retail Week award to its trophy cabinet.

Retail Week executive editor George MacDonald commented: “The Retail Week award for Best Own-Brand recognises to the amazing job retailers do in building brands, products and ranges under their wider retail brand umbrellas. It praises creativity and innovation from retailers that truly maximise a deep level of consumer understanding.” 

One of the judges added: “With its Mamia range, Aldi has offered consumers a real alternative to premium range baby products, at a fraction of the cost.”
