Wimbledon “Mumpreneur” Reaches Finals of National Business Awards

London mum and entrepreneur, Sheena Woods, has earned herself a place in the final line up of The Mumpreneur Awards, an annual ceremony aimed at celebrating parents throughout the UK who manage the difficult task of juggling business with family life. The new mother of 2 from Wimbledon, runs MaByLand Limited, a unique baby brand. Motherhood greatly inspired her to design and create a collection that would be essential to every modern parent, which she has tailored specifically to their needs. MaByLand ultimately aim for all their products to aid parenting making it “Easier than they thought”. They demonstrate to others that becoming a new parent no longer has to be a daunting prospect, instead parents can solely look forward to the exciting new adventure that lay ahead!
Sheena has been shortlisted for the Best Saleswoman Award, sponsored by Lyn's Biz, which is open to businesses who've found alternative ways of selling their products. Having launched in the late summer of 2008 only 3 months before her first daughter was born; it has since flourished into a recognised and trusted UK Baby Brand, and Sheena hopes to she has what it takes to walk away with the prize.
As well as being shortlisted for this category, Sheena is also in with a chance of winning the title of The Inspirational Business Mum 2011, sponsored by Intuit, which will be awarded to the mum who is an inspiration to all women in business, and could walk away with a fantastic prize package including a family holiday at Haulfryn's Devon Hills.
Having reached the finals of The Mumpreneur Awards, Sheena said “I am thrilled to be recognised for my achievements in increasing my sales in new and different ways, I can’t wait to find out if I have won the award!!”
Judging Sheena's entry will be a panel of top entrepreneurs judging including BBC Dragon, Duncan Bannatyne, but she'll have to wait until 25th September, when the winners will be announced at The Mumpreneur Conference!
