Baby Barn Pram & Nursery Centre's Italian Job

Baby Barn owners are only supposed to blow the charity roof off!

Baby Barn Pram & Nursery Centre owners Ian & Sue Dronfield took part in The Italian Job 2014 Touring event last October to help raise money for Variety, the Children’s Charity. Having been involved with providing baby equipment for the last 23 years throughout Warwickshire they felt this was a very appropriate and extremely worthwhile charity to support.

They toured a small part of Italy with 56 other Mini owners, one Land Rover and a Ferrari, took part in timed trials, drove on two Formula One race tracks, had a police escort driving through red lights around Turin to see the sights where the original film was shot and visited a local orphanage who we provided with a wide range of toys and educational gifts that had kindly been donated by local businesses.

On 20 May they were invited to Pens Meadow School in Dudley to see the official handover of a brand new Sunshine Coach. The coach will allow the children to experience so much more in life and now have the opportunity to get out and about. A very big thank you to the following companies who have sponsored Baby Barn Pram & Nursery Centre by either advertising on our car/donating toys – Be Safe, Britax, iCandy, Joolz, Kiddy, Mamas & Papas, Maxi Cosi and Rainbow Designs.

They are registered to take part in The Italian Job 2015 run in October visiting Rome and Tuscany and will be making a donation to the Lega del Filo D'Oro in Rome – training deaf/blind children to feel, learn and hopefully communicate with the outside world.
Our aim along with fellow "Jobbers" is to help towards raising enough money to buy another Sunshine Coach for disabled/disadvantaged children in the UK. For further information please visit who have so far raised more than £2.5 million over the last 25 years for children’s charities across the UK. If you would like to support their fund raising please visit any support is much appreciated.
