Bambino Mio celebrate award win

UK reusable nappy e-commerce company with global reach scoops Digital Business of the Year Award

Bambino Mio, a small business and a global force in the reusable nappy market, with remarkable e-commerce and digital marketing strategies, has been crowned the Digital Business of the Year 2018 by the Federation of Small Businesses.

Mike Cherry, FSB National Chairman, said: “My congratulations to Bambino Mio. The awards clearly demonstrate how small businesses are embracing and driving innovation, technology and ecology to drive the UK’s export economy, inspire the next generation and, in many cases, help to look after our planet.

“Small businesses make for a strong economy, and it is through supporting small businesses such as Bambino Mio that we’ll continue to lead the world in entrepreneurialism.”

The business is now nearing a target of £7 million in 2018. As well as having extensive high street retail partnerships, including with Boots and Asda, it has created its own international online storefronts for its websites. Across several countries and continents, each e-store has language specific content and local currency pricing. Bambino Mio also executes lead generation digital marketing campaigns across countries.

Co-owner Guy Schanschieff is also Chairman of the Nappy Alliance, which he founded in 2003 to represent the reusable nappy industry to both central and local government. Guy was awarded an MBE in 2011 for his services to business.

Award winner Guy Schanschieff, Bambino Mio, said: “We’re thrilled to be awarded the Digital Business of the Year. We’ve built this business over much of the past 20 years and it’s great to see the hard work paying off and being recognised in this way. Our digital strategy and content has been crucial to our growth and it’s been a vital element to our success.”
