BPA commences stand allocations

Kind und Jugend: UK Pavilion stand allocations and TAP grant applications.

The Baby Products Association will now be commencing allocation of stand space for its UK Pavilion at Kind und Jugend in September and companies wishing to participate are advised to return their booking forms as soon as possible if they have not already done so.

Kind und Jugend, which takes place in Cologne, Germany from 20th to 23rd September is Europe’s largest nursery trade show with more than 1200 exhibitors, 22,500 trade visitors attending from 113 countries. The UK Pavilion has historically been the largest country specific pavilion at the show, covering over 2,500 sqm of Hall 4.1, with more than 70 companies participating.

The Association has also negotiated really hard to secure a discount on the heavily increased media charge for this year, compulsory for all exhibitors, and UK Pavilion participants can enjoy a 25% discount on the standard media charge published rates along with the existing benefits being a part of the UK Pavilion delivers.

Adrian Sneyd, show organiser, comments: “The UK Pavilion was fully booked last year and already around 50% of participants have expressed an interest in returning for 2018. Now we know what space we have available we are able to commence stand allocation, however until we have signed booking forms returned we cannot reserve spaces. Therefore, we advise companies not to assume they will automatically be offered the same or new positions until they have returned their forms.
“In addition, the Department of International Trade (DIT) has cut back the number of TAP grants available for all trade shows for 2018; therefore, the criteria for allocation will be firstly to companies who are new to TAP and exhibiting for the first time, followed by those who have only received one previous grant. This is in line with the terms and conditions issued by DIT and the fairest way we can determine allocation based on the reduced number of grants, so I can’t advise companies strongly enough to return their TAP application forms as soon as possible to be considered this year if they are considering exhibiting.”

A full Kind und Jugend information pack and Booking form can be downloaded from the Association’s website under the ‘Trade Shows’ tab.

TAP Grant application form and T&C’s must be returned together and can be found under the DIT logo link also on the website.

Both to be returned to Adrian Sneyd on email:
