Classic Italian Job for Baby Barn

It’s that time of year again for the team at Baby Barn to take part in the 2019 Italian Job Fun Raising Touring Event.

After having to replace their lovely little classic red mini due to a welding hick-up - Baby Barn’s owners Ian and Sue Dronfield are very relieved to have found a replacement in time to be able to take part in this years Italian Job 2019 Touring Event which is celebrating its 30th anniversary raising money for children's charities in a fun way!

Ian and Sue will be taking part in the 2019 Italian Job Fund Raising Touring Event in their 1990 Classic Mini Cooper on the 16th October to help raise money for their nominated Children's Charity Buttle UK which helps children and young people in the UK who are seriously in need. From the money raised 5% will be donated to Italian Children's Hospitals possible in Turin, Rome and Naples and they will also be visiting local orphanages and donating toys and gifts with the remainder being given to the Chances for Children's Grant where all money received is purely spent on the individuals in need.

Their Team target of £1500 will go towards providing Chances for Children Grants to local children in Warwickshire.

Ian and Sue are again offering companies the chance to have their company logo advertised on their Classic Mini whilst travelling approximately 3500 miles over two weeks through France, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Italy plus of course England!

The event consists of an 11 day navigational drive and treasure hunt.  The run is based on the original Italian Job film, so everything from the classic and modern Mini's, E Type Jaguars, Ferraris take part and with up to 100 vehicles participating this year will receive a lot of attention from local, regional and national press exposure.  The tour will take them through rolling countryside exploring many different regions, driving on racing circuits like Dino and Enzo Ferrari, Monza and time trials on the Lingotto Roof Top plus a police escort running through red lights round Rome with horns blaring and lots of cheering..

The Chances for Children grants can pay for things that struggling families and young people cannot afford.  Items that most of us take for granted like a bed, clothing, school uniform, educational toys and books, safety and special equipment are just a few examples.

You may not be aware that over 400,000 children throughout the UK  do not have their own bed to sleep in -  just £25 is sufficient to provide fresh bedding and £150 will give a new bed to a child who previously may have been sleeping on the floor, the sofa or sharing a bed with a parent or sibling.

Buttle UK aim to help some of the UK's most vulnerable children and young people fulfil their potential.  Every penny the Jobbers raise will make a direct and tangible difference to these children.  Ian and Sue felt it would be wonderful to help support this charity especially due to the nature of their business and raising money for children in a fun way is an added bonus!

Should anyone be interested in becoming a sponsor, advertising your company logo or website address on their Classic Mini Cooper please do get in touch as soon as possible as space is limited due to the size of their Mini!  They also have a Facebook page which will provide regular updates and photographs of their journey which can be promoted on your website or Facebook page, providing brands with good PR while supporting such a worthwhile charity.

Press releases will be sent to local papers as well as your companies details being promoted for one year on their car in which they also use to travel around to Mini social events and Mini meets .
