Child safety product experts Clippasafe, were recently given the honour of creating a bespoke safety harness for His Royal Highness Prince George’s highchair

The chair, together with the accompanying harness, was presented to HRH the Duchess of Cambridge in February, at Kensington Palace.

The harness, which is vital to ensure the safety of HRH while in the chair, is made from polypropylene webbing and features Clippasafe’s popular ‘Racing Driver’ chequered design in white and beige, complementing the wooden chair that was fashioned in a modern style from rippled ash. The chair was created by leading furniture designer, Katie Walker.

Roger Cheetham, Managing Director of Clippasafe, was delighted to be given the opportunity to provide a safety product that would be used by the young Prince. He commented – “We pride ourselves on designing and creating trustworthy products that parents and carers can rely on. We are thrilled to have been given this opportunity to contribute to His Royal Highness’s highchair and keep him safe.”

The chair was commissioned by the Furniture Makers livery and being British designed and made, includes the harness produced by Nottingham based company Clippasafe.

Clippasafe manufactures harnesses for John Lewis, Mothercare, Boots and Toys R Us own brand ranges, in addition to many other home and travel safety products under its own label. The company also creates bespoke safety harnesses for children with special needs.
