Cloudy, smelly baby bottles are bugging Mums!

Mums have spoken - they are looking for a new way to wash their baby bottles, because they are fed  up with cloudy, smelly bottles.

In a survey of almost 650 Mums, commissioned by Nimble Babies to  understand habits and experiences of cleaning baby bottles, 80% of mums said they’d noticed their  bottles going cloudy and 76% were bothered about it.

Of those surveyed, 77% of them are using washing up liquid to wash their babies’ bottles, yet almost  half (47%) are unhappy with the results.
71% of Mums are replacing their baby bottles specifically because they go cloudy or become smelly.   So, it’s unsurprising that when asked if there was a bottle washing product that could alleviate these  problems, 97% of those surveyed agreed they would want to give it a try.

From a product perspective, being made from plant based ingredients and being able to prevent bacteria  breeding, was seen as the most motivating consumer claims for purchasing this type of product.

“These survey results are great news for us”, said Von Sy, Founder of Nimble Babies, “they validate the  small scale research we undertook when we were analysing the market potential for Nimble Babies Milk  Buster, and so I’m thrilled to see such overwhelming consumer demand  being confirmed by a study of  this size”.

JoJo Maman Bébé is the latest nursery retailer to have ranged Nimble Babies Milk Buster, in stores from late July, and joins the likes of Kiddicare, Amazon and Halfords.

Elliot Bishop of Bébélephant, UK distributor for Nimble Babies, said “we are delighted by these survey results. They genuinely provide us with a story to share with our retailers and hope that it not only encourages those who have shown an interest, but who have not yet listed Nimble Babies Milk Buster to give it a go.”
