Exciting new BPA seminar programme for Harrogate

The Baby Products Association (BPA) has announced that it will be hosting a free three-day Seminar Programme at Harrogate International Nursery Fair (HINF) for the very first time this year from 23rd to 25th March 2014

All subjects presented will be pertinent to the nursery industry and guarantee to be interesting and informative for all visitors and exhibitors at the show.

Robert Anslow, BPA managing director, comments: “The BPA has staged several conferences this year which have proved hugely successful and members have asked for more of this type of event in the future. The BPA already works very closely with HINF so hosting a seminar programme at the show is a natural progression for everyone involved.”

Subjects include the new European i-Size Regulation which will affect almost every family with children in the UK making it necessary for every retailer selling child car restraints to fully understand; plus an interesting insight into how consumers are buying baby products with market research company GfK discussing whether statistics suggest that the economy is finally in recovery. Also, with studies showing that mothers of small children spend more time on blogs and social media sites than any other customer group, Emily Hill of Write My Site will explain how businesses can engage with customers and influence their buying habits by running a blog.

Finally, for any company employing staff there is always the worry of employees walking out with their best ideas, their company database and even coveted product designs. Sara Ludlam and Angela Gorton of Lupton Fawcett, both specialists and experts in Employment and Intellectual Property Law will give some practical tips on how best to protect your employee and IP resources.

Adrian Sneyd, Harrogate International Nursery Fair organiser, said: “We are delighted with this new co-operation between the BPA and HINF as it gives added value to everyone attending the show. There is a fabulous line up of speakers which are guaranteed to attract visitors to Hall G where they will also be able to enjoy refreshments and visit four of our major exhibitors, Britax, Diono, Graco and Joie.”
