HKTDC Hong Kong Baby Products Fair returns in Jan

New “Baby Food and Healthcare Products” zone

The rising middle class with its growing affluence is driving a dynamic market in products for babies and young children to give them the very best start in life. 

To fulfill the market need, the HKTDC Hong Kong Baby Products Fair has attained a reputation as one of the most rewarding sourcing platforms in Asia

The fair turns five in 2014 and will be held from 6 to 9 January, 2014 in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It is expected to feature more than 400 exhibitors, encompassing the first-time participation of exhibitors from New Zealand, Philippines and Sweden. In 2013, more than 25,000 buyers came from 113 countries and regions to boost their inventories with quality products.

Full Spectrum of Products for Effective Sourcing
“Baby Food and Healthcare Products”, the new zone in 2014, responds to the growing trend among parents who are increasingly aware of health and nutritional needs of their babies. The global baby food and formula industry keeps growing and is expected to reach USD 70 billion by 2016. The sector has great potential for buyers.

There is increasing concern for product safety, with buyers sourcing items which meet international quality and safety standards. “Brand Name Gallery”, the highlight of the fair, will house exhibitors with well-crafted and beautifully designed branded products. Renowned brands include gb, Biba Toys and Piyo Piyo.

The other zone, “World of Strollers and Gear”, located at Expo Drive Hall, will showcase a great selection of strollers and car seats for babies including top-of-the-range models as well as mass market items.

With its broad range of products on offer, the fair has created a thriving marketplace in which buyers can see a great diversity of products. The remaining zones include garments and accessories, furniture, toiletries, toys maternity and nursery products, etc.

Award encourages high standards
Following its success in previous fairs, the Hong Kong Toys & Baby Products Award will return. The competition is to highlight toys and baby products of superb quality and design and to promote the products of the fair. Last year’s winners for baby products received good buyers’ attention. The winning products will be displayed during the fair period.

In addition to being a truly comprehensive marketing platform, the fair offers other ways of extending market awareness and reach. The Networking Reception and Hong Kong Toys and Baby Products Award 2014 Prize Presentation Ceremony will be held on the first day. Seminar covering “Market
Trends of Baby Care Products for the New Generation” and “Niche Market” will be organised during the fair, so that buyers and exhibitors can meet their potential business partners and hear the latest industry news.

Product Demo and Launch Pad sessions are also available in “Product Launch Area”, Hall 3 South Concourse, to allow buyers to know more about the innovative products in the market.

Held concurrently with HKTDC Hong Kong Baby Products Fair are the HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, Hong Kong International Stationery Fair and HKTDC Hong Kong International Licensing Show. With all four fairs scheduled for the beginning of 2014, they are expected to draw the attention of buyers from every corner of the globe and to enable fruitful trading and valuable intelligence exchanges between exhibitors and buyers.
