Continued expansion for INDX Kidswear

Now in its third year, the INDX Kidswear Show continues to grow and attract more buyers and brands.

February saw Cranmore Park host the latest edition of INDX Kids, opening its doors on 11th and 12th February with an expanded format, the largest brand offering to date and the pre-show visitor registration higher than ever before. INDX is a bespoke trade show, exclusively for independent retailers, which offers an opportunity to source products from over 150 brands.

The show, which takes place twice a year is open to the entire independent trade. With its central location and Birmingham airport being just a few minutes away, INDX Kids attracts both national and international visitors from several countries.

The February show was the biggest to date and the figures were very encouraging. A second showroom was opened to accommodate demand and increase the exhibition space in order to host a further 25 exhibitors. Pre-show visitor registrations were significantly higher than in 2017, as well as visitor attendance having increased by over 30% in comparison to the same event last year. The show also saw a substantial rise of new retailers visiting INDX for the first time.

Varsha Chohan, the event organiser, explained, “we believe the success of our shows is measured by the success of the exhibitors and many exhibitors reported an increase in the orders taken compared to last February, with some writing more orders than any previous INDX event!”

Sharon Beardsworth from Harcastle Holdings said “Not a moment went by when we didn’t have customers on the stand buying the new collections”

Charles Robins from Babybol commented “INDX has become a great show, well organised, great atmosphere, very well attended and very satisfied exhibitors, it’s the best Children’s Exhibition in the UK”.
Returning exhibitor Liz James from Little Green Radicals told us “Visitor numbers for us were certainly well up on previous AW shows and I think conversion to orders will be very high too”.
INDX is a unique trade show and David Cooke summed this up perfectly; “My company, Country Kids, have attended dozens of trade shows in Europe & America over many years. I can honestly say as an exhibitor, that I’ve never been more welcomed, looked after, helped, and assisted, as I have by yourselves during the last three days.”

David continued “Perhaps more importantly, every other exhibitor that I spoke to felt the same way. That feeling, to your great credit, was also felt by the customers that we are trying to attract. Many
of them spoke highly of their experience; parking, access, free lunch... generally feeling valued and looked after. A refreshing change from the norm!”

Varsha went on to say “The INDX Kidswear Show and the Cranmore Park venue continue to excel and exceed expectations of many exhibitors and visitors. We are really excited about the next event in July with the exhibitor waiting list growing with each season. We look forward to expanding the brand offering and welcoming new brands to INDX Kidswear in July.

What did buyers think?
Abacus Children’s Store – “I have been to many exhibitions in the UK and abroad. INDX, although smaller was far better organised and relaxed with free hot drinks and a hot lunch too. Thanks INDX!”
Kids Rock Boutique – “Excellent & remarkably inspiring!”
Bonnets and Booties – “Really enjoyed the show. Lots of exhibitors and we were really looked after while there with refreshments and food.”
