Guy Schanschieff awarded MBE
Bambino Mio’s remarkable year has ended on the highest possible note. Bambino Mio’s Founder and Managing Director, Guy Schanschieff has been awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours List for his services to business
Bambino Mio was founded in 1997 by husband and wife Guy and Jo Schanschieff. At the time Guy and Jo started Bambino Mio, reusable nappies were thought to be dated and behind the times. Guy has strived to not only support Bambino Mio but the entire reusable nappy industry; helping create a product which has become an increasingly popular choice for new parents all over the world.
Based in Brixworth, Northampton, Bambino Mio has gone from strength to strength; from humble beginnings starting out as a mail order business operating from home to becoming the market leader in the reusable nappy industry. Bambino Mio now sell an extensive range of products and accessories in numerous national stores and independents throughout the UK and in over 70 countries worldwide. The Bambino Mio nappy system is continually being improved using the latest technology. The unique two-piece nappy system is now seen by the majority of parents as the leading mainstream, high performance reusable nappy brand.
This prestigious achievement comes after an extremely successful year at Bambino Mio in which the company reached the milestone of 40 awards and successfully launched two fantastic new products; the mioboost and miosoft hearts cover. Guy Schanschieff said “It is a huge honour to be included in the New Year Honours List.
