Jack in a Box wins the 2017 Chad Business Awards

Independent nursery retailer Jack in a box was thrilled to win Retailer of the Year in the 2017 Chad Business Awards.

Jack in a box received highly commended in the Small Business of the Year category against a number of other much larger firms from a variety of disciplines.

The award was not disclosed until the night of the award ceremony when it was revealed that over 40 retailers had entered the competition.

Jack in a box successfully won against some very stiff competition. Katie Adamson-Mcminn, owner and proprietor of Jack in a box, was delighted for her and her team. Katie pointed out that as an in-store only retailer it proves that traditional quality customer service was still alive and thriving in today’s busy retail environment.

The boutique style store in Mansfield has gone from strength to strength adding a number of new manufacturers in the last 12 months and increasing its floor space by over a third earlier this year.

Katie started Jack in a box after the birth of her son Jack nine years ago after whom the store is named.

“Jack was my inspiration for the store coming to work every day reminds me of how lucky I am to have my wonderful boy.”  Said Katie.

Jack featured on the companies Facebook page demonstrating pushchairs, prams and other goods and has already become a little Internet star with other manufacturers asking him to demonstrate their products.
