The company is a premium brand manufacturer of desirable infant and pre-school products with a history of winning awards. With a strong product portfolio, the customer base is growing both in the UK and internationally as retailers respond to the demand from consumers. As the business continues to expand, a position for a senior National Account Manager has arisen and the successful incumbent will report directly to the Sales Director for the UK and Europe.
The individual:
You will be a dynamic, friendly and commercial sales professional with at least 10 years experience in managing key and national accounts. You will be used to working in a small to medium sized business which operates successfully without a structured environment. You will have good networking skills and be someone that buyers enjoy doing business with. It is essential that you are amenable to helping out in other areas when business necessitates as it’s a small team and everyone is expected to provide their support.
Responsibilities for the role:
• Responsible for the top tier and secondary accounts ensuring revenues and margins are maintained and grown.
• Develop new business with a small number of major retailers (in mostly in nursery, pharmacy and grocer channels).
• Create and implement sales strategy in conjunction with the Sales Director.
• Sales forecasting.
• Full P&L and gross profit responsibility.
• Providing support to a KAM.
• Providing weekly and monthly sales reports.
• Work closely with the marketing department to maximise consumer and trade awareness
Working hours:
This is a full time position which is home based but it is expected you will be at the office at least two days a month (unless you live near the office - in Herts - and would prefer to be office based).
