Kate Briggs joins Buy It Direct
Former Sainsbury’s and Asda buyer Kate Briggs has joined growing online retailer Buy It Direct as Category Manager for toys and nursery
Kate will head up the "Bambino Direct" brand and be responsible for all nursery products sold on Debenhams and Bhs's websites.
Buy it Direct are one of the UK's largest online retailers. Based in West Yorkshire, the company sells Nursery Products as well as Laptops, TVs and Kitchen Appliances under its own brands such as BambinoDirect.co.uk and AppliancesDirect.co.uk. The retailer also runs White Label sites for department store groups Debenhams and Bhs.
Kate left Sainsbury’s where she was Senior Buyer for Toys and Nursery, having previously worked for Asda within the toys category. Optimistic about the double digit growth prospects online sales offer over traditional bricks-and-mortar retailing, Kate said: “Bambino Direct has massive potential and I’m looking forward to growing the business.”
Managing Director Nick Glynne said: “Kate brings a wealth of experience and knowledge here from years working with some of the biggest brands in the country. We have huge ambitions for the company and I believe Kate will help us become one of the largest independent nursery retailers in the UK.”
