Award ceremony of the Kind + Jugend Innovation Award 2014 The baby and toddler outfitting sector is traditionally well-known for its innovative power. Each year the participating companies present exciting new products or further developments. The Kind + Jugend has been doing justice to this development for the past ten years by conferring the Kind + Jugend Innovation Award. The Innovation Award seal is in the meantime considered to be an important marketing tool for the companies.

Does the product promote the development of my child? Which materials are used? Does the technology make everyday life with children easier? Does the product suit my lifestyle? Safety, functionality and design are the most important purchasing decision criteria in the baby and toddler outfitting business. Based on these criteria, the renowned and international jury comprising of representatives from the trade, TÜV (technical authorities) and media assesses all of the entries submitted by the participating companies in the following eight categories:
• World of Moving Baby
• World of Travelling Baby
• World of Moving Baby & Travelling Baby Accessories
• World of Baby Safety at Home
• World of Baby Toys
• World of Baby Textiles
• World of Baby Care

The winning products in each category are distinguished with the coveted Kind + Jugend Innovation Award seal. All products that make it through to the final round are decorated with the nominee's logo. The best products per category will additionally be presented in the Innovation Area of the Kind + Jugend in Hall 10.1 throughout the duration of the fair.
