KONFIDENCE CELEBRATES PRACTICAL PARENTING AWARDS
Konfidence has added yet another award to its growing tally after scooping a bronze Practical Parenting award for its Babywarma
The award-winning company beat off stiff competition in the “New Product Under £20” category after submitting its newly re-designed and relaunched UV protective wetsuit for babies.
Its best-selling AquaNappy was also named as a finalist in the Best Disposable nappy category – the only swim pants to receive recognition in the awards.
The accolades from Practical Parents come just weeks after the Babywarma® wetsuit won silver in the Loved By Parents’ Best Swimming Product Award, while the Original Buoyancy Jacket took Gold. The eco-friendly AquaNappy also took silver in the Best Swim Nappy category.
James Thomas, Chief Operating Officer at Konfidence, said: “Every award is important to us and we are absolutely thrilled with the Practical Parenting award because it further endorses what we do and assures us that parents are happy with the quality.
“We have always been committed to making high quality protective swimwear and will continue to work with parents and swimming teachers to ensure our products work well in the pool.”
Konfidence has also learned that the Babywarma has been shortlisted for a 2011 Mother & Baby Award in the ‘Best Safety Product’ category alongside the company’s new UV-PBT sun protection clothing range. The Aquanappy has also made the short list for ‘Best Reusable Nappy’, as well as the Roll & Go Changer in the Best Travel Product category.
The 100 per cent UV protective Babywarma, which costs £18.99, enables babies to stay warmer in the swimming pool for much longer than would be possible without it. Made from 2mm thick neoprene, it also provides a good grip surface for parents when carrying baby around poolside / changing rooms, whilst clever design techniques ensure a snug, “huggable” fit, for maximum safety, comfort and performance every time.
For the new 2011 suit, Konfidence introduced an improved hidden flap design featuring generously sized “snag-proof” Velcro fasteners, which make the suit more aesthetically pleasing and comfortable for baby as well as offering greater sizing flexibility for parents as their baby grows.
It also opens flat to allow quick nappy changes and works perfectly with Konfidence’s range of adjustable and reusable Aquanappies.
Konfidence’s AquaNappy, which costs just £6.99, comes in six colours: blue, pink, blue stripe, pink flowers, pink polka dot and red. Made of polyester, it is secured with an adjustable velcro sash and poppers to ensure a snug fit for baby.
It can be used in conjunction with Konfidence’s Nappicova, which provides an all-important extra layer of protection. The close fit gives a good seal with the design operating like a 'non-return valve' and as the fabric is the same soft, neoprene there's no rubbing or chaffing of delicate skin.
Konfidence is one of Europe’s leading designers of premium protective swimwear for babies, infants and children. The British company offers a complete range of colour co-ordinated protective swimwear and accessories for youngsters from birth to seven years. The product range also extends to UVPF sun protection clothing and wetsuits for children up to the age of 14 years.
