Peppa Pig takes over Asda’s Baby and Toddler event

Entertainment One has made a deal with Asda that will see its hit TV preschool property Peppa Pig play a central role in the grocer’s annual Baby and Toddler event.

From this week, Asda’s Baby and Toddler promotional event will be engaging parents and children both in-store and online with events and promotional offers.

This year, shoppers will be treated to a fun and interactive Peppa Pig experience during the five-week event, which will span in-store entertainment, activities for children and enhanced visibility for the brand’s consumer products in more than 300 Asda stores nationwide.

On Saturday 16 April, an exclusive Peppa Pig in-store entertainment event will be held in 60 key Asda stores.

A branded backdrop will offer fans a free photo opportunity of themselves jumping on a muddy puddle that they can share with friends and family on social media. There will also be a free 16-page branded activity booklet handed out in store with games, activities and stickers available for families.

As part of the promotion, limited edition Peppa Pig branded packs of Asda’s Little Angels nappies will be available both in-store and online.

To drive consumer footfall, the Asda website will host a dedicated Peppa Pig branded landing page that will be live throughout the promotional period. The page will include the grocer's full Peppa Pig product range, a bespoke sizzle and activity downloads. Character Q&As with Mummy and Daddy Pig will feature exclusively on Asda’s Good Living website and the grocer will include messaging on its social channels and baby event newsletters.

“This is by far the biggest UK retail initiative Peppa has been involved in and Entertainment One is delighted to be working so closely with the team at Asda.

"Our aim is to fully engage Asda customers with the brand during the event and ensure Asda becomes the retail destination for Peppa Pig during the event period.” Hannah Mungo, Head of UK Licensing at Entertainment One comments.
