Royal seal of approval

Lotus Maternity founder wins the first ever Nottingham’s 30 under 30 awards with Royal seal of approval.

Olivia Swift, Director at Lotus Maternity represented all of Nottinghamshire and fellow women in business last week as she took home an award for her innovative nursing wear range, at the inaugural Nottingham’s 30 under 30.

The awards were set up by Nottinghamshire Live in collaboration with The Prince’s Trust aimed at recognising some of the most inspiring and talented young people in the City and celebrating their incredible achievements so far.

Swift reports, “Although these awards have not been done before, the evening was so professional and utterly fantastic, we were made to feel like stars the entire time. It was a wonderful evening just to be a part of, so to take home a trophy (a rather unconventional one) was just amazing! There was a real buzz in the room as we enjoyed great food and wine and live performances from talented musicians, poets and songwriters.”

She added, “I’ve had lots of great achievements so far with Lotus Maternity but this one will always be up there as a special one. There’s thousands of young people in Nottingham doing marvellous things, so to get nominated was most humbling. Stepping up on stage as a winner therefore, despite all the competition was an amazing feeling and wonderful to be recognised for the products, support and services I am providing to mothers.”

Swift runs local mother and baby groups as part of Lotus Maternity’s ‘Postnatal Plan’ to support new mothers, it’s a great service to teach them everything they need to know as they settle into motherhood. Swift launched the group earlier this year as she wanted to apply her infant feeding expertise, midwifery knowledge and experience to help mums on her doorstep.
