Russell finds a new home at Barnardos

4,000 Russell the dream sheepdogs donated to Barnardos

There has been great excitement at Sweet Dreamers HQ this month as the team has made a phenomenal donation of 4,000 Russell the dream sheepdogs to Barnardos. The significant donation of the brands famous toddler sleep aid is just fantastic and the team are extremely proud to be supporting the UK’s biggest children’s charity.

The award winning sheepdog has been comforting toddlers around the world since it launched in 2014 and will now be spotted in Barnardos charity shops across the UK!  The team behind the loveable pooch were passionate about supporting a children’s charity in 2016 and Barnardos seemed the perfect fit. The decision to send 4,000 Russell’s on a mission to share a little happiness has been greatly received by the iconic charity.

Each Russell sold will raise funds for the amazing work the Barnardos charity do and some of the stock will be given to children to enjoy. Set up in 1866, Barnardos is the UK’s largest children’s charity, and is passionate about supporting and caring for vulnerable children and young people. The SweetDreamers team are very pleased that its Russell donation will help support such a wonderful and well established charity.

Commenting on the donation, Lynda Harding, Founder of SweetDreamers and brains behind ewan the dream sheep said: “Making this donation has been an honour and I am so proud that SweetDreamers can do something to help the lives of children. Barnardos is a brilliant charity and the work they do is so vital, we wanted to do something to support them. We will miss each and every one of the 4,000 Russells, but are excited about their new homes!”

Quintin Bromfield, Barnardos Gifts in Kind Account Manager South added: “Thank you all at SweetDreamers for your support; it really is very much appreciated.”
